From Will

I did not want to miss the opportunity to let you and your future patients know about my experience with your services. First, I was probably the LAST person in the world who I thought would ever walk in the doors of a Chiropractic Care Center. I have a Masters Degree in Education, and was very skeptical. That’s probably the result of too much education! At age 51, traditional medicine was the only practice I believed in. My thoughts were surrounded in strict science, research, and pharmaceuticals.

I was in a car accident on November 30, 2003. I was rear-ended at a speed of 45 mph, was unconscious, and knocked through an intersection close to Lake Avenue. My car was totaled. After the police arrived, I started to feel more and more queasy, and the pain was building in my back. The policeman told me to take a warm bath, that I would feel better in a few days. I told him was hurt, but he did not call for medical help. I informed him I was going to go to the ER. The seat in my car was completely broken from the impact. I arrived at the hospital and since it was the end of the Thanksgiving weekend, the wait was about 6 hours.

By the time I was seen by the staff, I was in excruciating pain, I was given 3 shots of morphine. They took a MRI and CAT scan, and sent me home with a muscle relaxant and Oxycontin and told me to take off work for 3 days. As a teacher, it was impossible to miss work, and I used the pain meds to get through the day. I saw my family doctor. He was most concerned about my condition and we worked to get physical therapy, and additional lab work. He tried some therapies in his office; the most effective was 5-6 shots of Lidocaine along with a steroid directly into my neck and shoulder. This was the only treatment that allowed me to function normally, It lasted 4-5 days. I remained on Vicoden and Avinza for the pain. I had numbness in my arm, and I was in extreme pain for most days. The medication took the edge off an allowed me to work, but the pain was a constant ritual.

My family doctor exhausted his treatments and decided to refer me to a Pain Specialist. I did not know what to expect, all I wanted to do was to go back to a normal life. I was really afraid that something serious was wrong. I met the Pain Specialist and he told me about his work and how he partnered with Dr. Polvi on Myodynamic Remodeling. I told him I didn’t believe it would work, but that I would remain open minded and give it a try. He scheduled me for 6 initial “Trigger Point Injection” therapies that when combined with Myodynamic Remodeling under the care of Dr. Levesque should give me relief. The Pain Specialist gave me about a 50% outlook for recovery. I was very sensitive to touch, had throbbing, stabbing pain in my neck and shoulders. The Pain Specialist and Dr. Levesque were first concerned that there might be a neck injury and scheduled me for an MRI before starting aggressive therapy. Since the MRI showed only minor damage, the Pain Specialist started the TPI and had me see Dr. Levesque for the myofacial, deep tissue massage. I will not lie and say there was no pain involved in the treatment. It was painful. However, the results were incredible!

For the first time in over 6 months, I started to feel better. I had an increase in the range of motion in my neck, and I started to feel optimistic that something was happening. The deep tissue and TOP was augmented with Myodynamic Remodeling. I do not know what it means, but what has been happening is that I’m regaining strength, and the injuries from the car accident are starting to subside. The exercises and combination therapies that take place between treatments have started to restore me back to a more capable functioning person. I can see that pain medications will soon no longer be needed, and I am confident that this incident will be behind me in the near future.

If you have been living with pain as a result of some type of trauma, don’t give up! This works! I have an optimistic outlook that I will soon be pain-free. I have improved at least 75% from my first visit. If you are skeptical about if this works, let me just say it does. It is not some strange technique. It is well studied and you cannot find a better team than with my Pain Specialist, Dr. Levesque and Dr. Polvi. They have developed a system that works, that will give you your life back. They, along with a caring and extremely professional staff, will have you on the road to recovery. If you are still skeptical, talk to the doctors and ask other patients.

Finally, I have never made any type of endorsement or written a letter of compliments in the past. I wanted to share with others that there are many therapies but nothing, in my opinion as effective as My Pain Specialist’s TPI therapies coupled with Dr. Polvi’s Myodyanimic Remodeling. Hopefully, you will take the first step. I will follow-up with this letter in 6 months to let you know the finally outcome of my treatments. I just finished number 4.
